Program Details
Throughout the 120-credit-hour forensic science major, students learn to identify, individualize, and evaluate physical evidence while building a strong foundation in the natural sciences. Coursework combines scientific investigation, laboratory analysis, and ethical decision-making to prepare graduates for careers in forensic science and criminal justice.
Forensic Investigation
Learn the principles of crime scene investigation, evidence collection, documentation, and forensic analysis through both classroom instruction and laboratory experiences.
Forensic Microscopy
Develop the skills needed to analyze trace evidence using microscopic techniques commonly employed in forensic laboratories and criminal investigations.
Forensic Serology
Study biological evidence, DNA-related analysis, and laboratory procedures used to identify and evaluate bodily fluids and other forensic samples.
This program does not offer formal concentrations. Students can customize their academic experience through elective coursework, minors, and additional majors that align with their professional and graduate school goals.
